Scott Saklad - CEO

Scott Saklad serves as the CEO of Gladstone Ltd., overseeing both the Leisure & Fitness and Education divisions.

Having been in vertical market software since 1995, Scott is deeply committed to finding solutions that make life easier. He spends much of his time on business development projects, and acts as a resource to help the company identify and implement necessary changes.

Scott is a well-known speaker in the area of technology and its efficient applications in operations. His expertise extends to architectural systems design, technical troubleshooting, workflow design and business process review and engineering. Scott has led several acquisitions that helped to strengthen market share in the software spaces in which he has operated, with the goal of offering the most comprehensive line of innovative technology solutions.

In 2010, after the acquisition of Gladstone, he moved to the UK to lead the company’s integration into the Jonas Software group of leisure, sports and fitness companies. Scott is a graduate of the University of California at Santa Barbara and enjoys travel and spending time with his family.

Richard Grazier - General Manager

Since completing a degree in Business Management and Marketing, Richard has spent most of his career in vertical software market companies. His experience within the education sector includes curriculum and assessment software and resources; IT and communications infrastructure; special educational needs software and resources; learning management software, cashless catering and transactional software.

With extensive experience of developing strategies for growth and new product entry, he has worked with education ministers, policy teams and leading head teachers to align the needs of teachers, school managers and the key educational objectives with product development and partnerships. An example of this was his work with the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust to introduce the first-ever fixed price broadband product to UK schools in 1998, to accelerate the reduction of the digital divide as part of the NGfL initiative.

In addition to his work, Richard has played an active role in the education sector and has been a primary school governor, as well as working with Young Enterprise and The Princess Trust.

Richard originally joined Gladstone Health and Leisure in October 2008 as Sales and Marketing Director in the UK, Ireland and Australia. He took his new role as General Manager of Gladstone Education in September 2011, bringing to the role over 12 years' experience of the UK education sector.

Richard lives in rural Oxfordshire and has two young children. His interests include art and literature, cooking and giraffes.
